In Loving Memory of Richard Abecunas

Rick was an animal lover all of his life, avocated for animal rights, and generously donated to several animal charities. We fondly remember taking our black lab, Dusty, to the Cape Cod National Sea Shore during our family summer vacations. Dusty would never want to get out of the water, and Rick always had to drag him away from the freezing, cold waves. Missy, our little white dog, was always by Rick's side whether it was cuddling with him on his lap or playing with her stuffed squirrel. To Rick, his animals were members of his family.
