| Dear Friends, As you may know, Hurricane Harvey is devastating parts of Texas. Our deepest wishes that this note finds you and all of your loved ones safe. When disasters like this one strike, pets of course also find themselves in danger. And Best Friends’ network partners are on the ground right now, saving dogs and cats from the floodwaters, and taking in those who have been displaced. We have sent a team to Texas, including our very experienced John Garcia, to help those doing rescue work on the front lines. We’ll be supporting local groups both physically and financially. If you are able to help as well, we invite you to give to Best Friends’ dedicated relief fund. Or please consider donating to a local lifesaving organization that you know and trust. Your support will be greatly appreciated by all of the Best Friends network partner groups in Texas who are rescuing pets under dangerous conditions.  Your gifts to Best Friends’ dedicated relief fund will be used exclusively for Best Friends’ relief work to help animals in this and other disasters. The storm is not yet over; Hurricane Harvey is expected to last a while yet. Our hearts (and hands) are with everyone in Texas at this time.
