In the 18 years since I started Long Island Bulldog Rescue, my sister, who was a founding Board member, was a constant support. She offered her encouragement, time, expertise in management, HR and writing skills. She loved the Bulldogs, and they loved her back. When she was diagnosed with a particularly aggressive gastric cancer a little over a year ago, Mattie (our Suffollk County cruelty case) never left her side, except to eat and go out. August 5th would have been my Sister's 64th Birthday. I am raising funds for our Bulldogs in honor of Roberta's time here on Earth. Her life was cut short, but her influence continues to be felt.
This year has been very intense. There are a LOT more dogs with MUCH more expensive medical problems. For the first time in our extensive history, we are faced with having to turn away dogs.If you care about Bulldogs, if LIBR has helped you, if you care about what Roberta cared for, if I have helped you with your dog, please consider donating what you can. It does not have to be a lot. Small donations matter. The Bulldogs will be grateful, and so will I.
Please make a donation today and help save the lives of Bulldogs in need. Your donation is tax-deductible. And what’s great is that each participating animal welfare group keeps all the money it raises (after transaction fees).

Thank you for making a lifesaving gift to the animals and for helping to Save Them All.
