It's that time of year again where I ask you to support the charity dearest to my heart Much Love Animal Rescue. As a board member and active volunteer I will be participating in the annual Strut Your Mutt Walk, hosted by Best Friends Animal Society on October 22nd.
I am raising funds so that we can continue to rescue local dogs and cats from Los Angeles and surrounding area shelters. Please consider donating to may page. Every dollar counts. Last year we rescued almost 200 dogs.
Every year there are many animals that inspire me, but there is always one or two that are very special to my heart. I'd like to share a story about Joshua.
We rescued Joshua from the East Valley Shelter last November. We got the call about this little man after being hit by a car, but even though he had painful injuries, he never stopped wagging his tail. We took little Joshua in to our care, got him the surgery he needed to repair a pelvic fracture and a diaphragmatic hernia, and he had since had a complete recovery. He is a spaniel mix, only 12 lbs, loves other dogs, and is sweet as can be. He likes nothing better than sitting on your lap and getting affection. This little guy has been through a lot but never complained. He stayed with me while he recovered from his injuries. Then at an adoption event he found Lindsey. She had never had a dog, in fact she had been shy around dogs. She agreed to take Joshua home and try fostering him. They soon formed a wonderful bond and Joshua now Rocky went from injured in the streets to a loving forever home!!
Much Love Animal Rescue exists to rescue abused, neglected and homeless animals from the streets and shelters of Los Angeles and place them in loving homes. Much Love is a 100% non-profit organization run entirely by dedicated volunteers who offer their time and resources to house, train, transport and care for these animals. Since its inception in 1999, Much Love has placed over 3,500 animals into loving homes.
With my thanks and love,
