Thank you for visiting my Strut Your Mutt fundraising page.
You may see our boy, Spanky, as a happy, spunky bully, but that wasn't always the case. Before the Long Island Bulldog Rescue (LIBR) took in Spanky as just a 9 month old, he was trapped in a crate by his previous owners for over 18 hours a day. When the LIBR took him in, he still was not nuetered and his eye was a mess, needing cherry eye surgery very badly. It took Jill, Spanky's new mommy, over a year to train and house break him as he very badly behaved. Thanks to the LIBR, Spanky is now a calm, healthy, and pro-snuggler bulldog. Please support Spanky's mother's page so LIBR and friends can continue their mission to help give bullies like Spanky loving homes!
Strut Your Mutt isn’t your average dog walk. Hosted by Best Friends Animal Society, it’s a huge festival with dog friendly events that raises money for a cause — saving the lives of animals in shelters across America.
This charity walk is a lot of fun, but here’s really why I’m participating. Every day, more than 9,000 dogs and cats are killed in America's shelters simply because they don't have safe places to call home. Each one could have been someone’s furry buddy, if given a chance. That’s why I’m joining thousands of fellow supporters in 14 festival cities and online to take part in this incredible fundraising event.
I need your help to reach my goal. Can I count on your donation for this sponsored walk? It’s tax-deductible for you, and the great thing is each participating animal welfare organization keeps all the money it raises (after transaction fees).
Together, we can Save Them All
