Most of us have experienced the joy of having a Rescued English Springer Spaniel come into our lives. All dogs that come to ESRA require at least routine veterinary examinations, and most need to be brought up-to-date with shots and vaccinations. Many dogs have not been spayed or neutered before intake, so this procedure must be performed before ESRA is able to release the dog to its new owner. Expenses like these are incurred for every dog we foster, and the $350 adoption fee usually does not begin to cover ESRA's expenditures for the dog. With approximately five hundred dogs in the National ESRA program at any one time, caring appropriately for each and every one of them requires an enormous amount of money.
ESRA relies on the generosity of its donors to help us raise the money we need to treat these animals and give each one the second chance at health, comfort, and happiness it deserves. Springer Rescue Southeast is participating in Strut Your Mutt as virtual walkers to raise money for English Springer Rescue America, Inc. We ask you to support English Springer Rescue America, Inc. for the Southeast Virtual Walkers. Last year National ESRA raised over $57,000 from the Strut your Mutt walk. This year we hope to top that number.
Your donation will help English Springer Rescue America, Inc. continue lifesaving adoption and spay/neuter programs, rescue at-risk Springers find new homes for them, and save Springers from the misery of life in puppy mills. Over 880 dogs were assisted in 2016 through English Springer Rescue America, Inc. — more than 17,800 since 2000.
We appreciate your tax-deductible gift in any amount. Every penny ESRA receives goes to help us rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome these wonderful dogs. We're an all-volunteer organization, and we rely on the generosity of kind and caring people to keep our efforts going.
