Hello Friends & Family,
Most of you know that I have loved dogs my entire life. For the past 6 years, I have been involved in helping to save dog's lives - it is a passion of mine. I spend a good share of my “retired” life volunteering with Safe Hands Rescue to save dogs from high kill shelters in rural SE Kentucky.
Last year Emma was my featured dog, she had been run over in Kentucky and her injuries were life-threatening. She wagged her tail as if to say that she wasn’t ready to leave - so, she rehabbed in KY and then she finished her rehab with us. We couldn’t imagine life without her so she became part of the Gunderson Pack. Today she runs like the wind. She was one of the Safe Hands featured "miracle" dogs at our Fur Ball Gala – the picture shows her all dressed up ready to attend.
So this year I am raising funds to help save more dogs like Emma, who wouldn't get a second chance at a good life without the help of Safe Hands and be getting the medical care they need.
People like you and your donations are the heroes who make these dogs walk, run and live again. So can you help me meet my goal? I would be grateful.
