We were looking to adopt a boxer and began the process with NCBR and adopted Dorothy in March. She is an incredibly lovable little shimmy-shaker all 45 lbs. of her. Her sweet personality and antics make me laugh every day! She was fortunate to be part of a litter raised in Foster care by multiple NCBR volunteers.
A few weeks later I read that NCBR was looking for a Foster for Phoenix, a severely emaciated white Boxer with two leg wounds. I fostered him, an incredible love bug and would have been a foster fail but knew he would find a good home so that I could Foster again. I cannot even express how having Phoenix and watching him heal and thrive with love and care made me feel. He was adopted by a wonderful family about 7 weeks later after healing and gaining over 20 pounds.
I fostered Mayflower in December, an amazing, wiggly girl healing from a possible car accident. We were so lucky to find her a great forever home.
In January I fostered George and became a foster fail!
I am thrilled to be a participant in "Strut Your Mutt" this year to assist in these Dogs being rescued and given a second chance. I hope to achieve my goal of raising at least $200. Any amount that you can donate gets us closer to our goal! Thank you for helping to support these dogs that get a second chance.
