I have been a nearly continuous boxer owner since 1979, when I came home with Maxine as a puppy. Her sweet face, great personality, and full loyalty sold me on boxers forever. Since then I've had several others - Belle (who grew up with my kids), Portia (adopted from a friend, and another kid-lover), Cayenne (from NCBR and my personal best friend), and now Clyde. Clyde came to NCBR without the use of his back legs due to a spine injury. He's my first white boxer and I have to say I am SOLD on the white ones too!
I love that NCBR is so fiercely protective of the boxers they pull from shelters. They try so hard to find homes for them all, but especially those that have issues that might cause them to be skipped over at the shelter. Many of these dogs are rehabilitated to become someone's absolute best buddy. Boxers are genetically loving, sweet, smart, funny, and faithful, but never more than when they have been rescued into a loving home. For that to happen NCBR needs financial resources - for early vet care, food, and care items like crates, leashes, etc. And that is why I am hosting this page to help raise money for NCBR.
