I'm walking to save the lives of homeless pets!
Please help me save as many lives as possible. I am participating in Strut your Mutt this year as part of the Ashley Valley Community Cats team. Since becoming a volunteer for Ashley Valley Community Cats (AVCC) my life has been enriched in so many ways. I have made some amazing friends, participated in TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) , fostered kittens that would have most likely been killed in the shelters, and I've helped dozens of cats find thier forever homes. Having experienced being part of a rescue organization, I have learned just how much money it takes to save lives. From vaccines to food and medications to vet bills, it adds up.
The picture above is a cat that we trapped during a TNR, that ended up having to be euthanized due to cancer eating away at his face. In the same colony, we have seen the bodies of deceased kittens and cats just laying there. The ones that were alive were malnourished, had ticks, mites and fleas. Because they were left to procreate, more were being born to either fight for survival or die from lack of resources. For every colony like this one there are thousands of others just like it.
Then there are the shelters, where strays are killed just from lack of room.
Together, we can Save Them All and reduce that number to zero. Thank you for your kind support.
