IN LOVING MEMORY OF BILLIE, ROSITA, MIRACLE, TOPSY AND SEBASTIAN
On October 6th, Baby and I are walking the walk in loving memory of five fabulous felines that have passed over the Rainbow Bridge this year...each with its own special story... all City Critters stories. - BILLIE BLUE EYES, ROSITA , MIRACLE ,TOPSY and SEBASTIAN. They each had so much love to give and gave it unstintingly. All five are a meaningful example of the "no more homeless pets" and SAVE THEM ALL philosophy. and they have left an indelible mark on our hearts. We are joining the City Critters 2018 Strut Your Mutt Dog Pack on Saturday, October 6th and Baby and I ask your help in making this walk a memorable one and a win win for New York City's homeless animals.
IN LOVING MEMORY:..
BILLIE BLUE EYES - a spectacular, 8 year old, severely diabetic Siamese cat in urgent need of rehoming. We found him his most special forever home and person. Although he had myriad health problems and many a set back, he was cared for lovingly and meticulously for four years by his most caring human. How lucky we were to have known BILLIE!
ROSITA - a charming, petite female who after eight years of surviving in a restaurant basement was in need of immediate (within the hour) rescue when the business shut down suddenly. Although she was a bit shy, we were able to place ROSITA in her special forever home. A prior and very unfortunate environmental situation exposed her to carcinogens and she passed over that Rainbow Bridge earlier this year. How lucky we were to have known ROSITA!
MIRACLE - the sweetest little thing, forever tiny with a terrible start in life, alone in an abandoned parking lot in Long Island City. Rescued at 5 weeks old, she was close to death . We got her the emergency medical care she desperately needed. She was definitely a survivor and was loved and indulged for 15 years. She remained as sweet and petite as ever and we were lucky to have known MIRACLE!
TOPSY - one of four siblings saved from a feral colony in Queens some 15 years ago...a little tortie with a mind of her own. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Topsy went to a new forever home at 8 years old...and we are forever grateful for the love and attention she was given these past years along with the meticulous care she received during her quite long illness. We were so lucky to have known TOPSY...what a girl!
SEBASTIAN - how could we forget this handsome and personable buff colored tabby.. A young adult, found on the streets of Brooklyn, by a City Critters volunteer, he came into our Saturday adoptions and with his outgoing personality, was literally out within the hour to his forever home as a loyal companion to Spencer and as future bestie to Skylar as well. For so many years, he was the official hallway greeter in the household and a total lovebug. He is so missed!
Become part of City Critters Dog Pack on October 6th as a walker (with or without a dog) or participate by supporting Baby and me as generously as possible. We look forward to continuing our journey toward the day when there are 'no more homeless animals'. Together we can SAVE THEM ALL.
We are so grateful for your support. Heartfelt thanks.
