I’m walking to save the lives of homeless pets!
This year, I’m participating in Strut Your Mutt, a fundraising walk hosted by Best Friends that saves the lives of homeless pets right here in my community and all across the country, and supporting Safe Hands Animal Rescue. Last February we adopted a sweet little we decided to name, Kaya. I am from Alaska and her name is Inuit, meaning “stay and don’t go back”. We thought it was fitting for a puppy that we had fallen in love with and whom had come so far to be with us and had gotten out of a place that would not have been ideal, to say the least. In May of this year, we decided that it was time to start fostering for Safe Hands. Our first foster found a home quickly and then we took in another right away. Our sweet Penelope came to us on June 9th, and we decided pretty quickly that she would be staying permanently. She has fit in beautifully with our family and we couldn’t have asked for a more lovely addition! We will continue to support Safe Hands and will foster agaIn in the future!
Please support me by making a donation to my page. Your gift helps homeless pets and will support the animal welfare group I’ve chosen to walk for.
This cause means so much to me and I am grateful for your help. Every day, more than 4,100 dogs and cats are killed in America's shelters, simply because they don't have safe places to call home. Each one is a loving pet just like yours and mine.
Together, we can Save Them All and reduce that number to zero. Thank you for your kind support.
