It’s time for elected officials to treat all dogs like the individuals they are.

Pit Bull Image Legislative Alert

We all want safe and humane communities for people and pets. Unfortunately, our outdated breed discriminatory “pit bull” ban doesn’t enhance public safety.  It’s ineffective, expensive to enforce, and it tears families apart. The law needs to change and we need your help to make this happen.

Please take a moment to contact your elected officials and be the voice for our pet dogs. Let them know it’s time to get rid of the city’s outdated ordinance. Innocent dogs shouldn’t be punished for being born a certain breed.

Politics isn’t a spectator sport, so please act now. You can help increase our impact by sharing this message on Facebook  and Twitter with all your Council Bluffs friends and family.

Thank you for all you do to Save Them All.

Dear [Decision Maker],

We all want safe and humane communities for people and pets. As a Council Bluffs resident, I'm asking you to repeal the city's antiquated breed-discriminatory ordinance targeting "pit bull" terriers. Our ordinance is not only ineffective at promoting public safety, but it's expensive to enforce and it violates the property rights of responsible pet owners.

In America, responsible dog owners who follow safety rules should be able to own whatever kind of dog they choose. It's that simple.

Let's stop punishing responsible dog owners and innocent dogs. Please repeal and replace the current breed-discriminatory pit bull law and instead enact a comprehensive breed-neutral dangerous dog law.
