Urgent action needed for TX pets.
Transparency is key to saving the lives of cats and dogs in Texas shelters, which is why House Bill 1916 is so important for our state. This bill will ensure that our shelters and releasing agencies are keeping consistent and accurate data on the pets in their care.
Recently, the bill was unanimously approved by the House Urban Affairs Committee with bipartisan support, and it has been scheduled on the calendar for Wednesday May 10. This is our last chance to get a vote in the House before the legislature adjourns, so please act now and ask your representative to support HB 1916.
The legislature won’t meet again until 2019, so please speak now for our pets.
Act now by asking your representative to support HB 1916. The more Texans our representatives hear from, the better our chances of success will be. Please also share this message on Facebook and Twitter to increase your impact.
Thank you for all you do to Save Them All.
Dear [Decision Maker],
As a constituent, I write to urge you to support HB 1916. This important bill will bring to our state the shelter transparency that is missing under current law.
