Dog and Cat Image Legislative Alert

Tell your senator and representative to oppose LD 1601

A last minute bill has been filed that will defund the state’s Companion Animal Sterilization Fund. That’s the money that helps to spay and neuter the pet cats and dogs for our state’s low-income residents.

What’s just as bad, the bill was introduced at the last second and is being rushed to a committee vote to try and sneak it in without having our voices heard. We can’t let that happen.

Let’s stand up for our pets! Take action now and tell your state senator and representative that you’re opposed to LD 1601 and she or he should be as well. Let them know that eliminating low-cost spay/neuter hurts people and it hurts pets.

Thank you for your time and for you lending your voice.

Together we will Save Them All.

Dear [Decision Maker],

I am a constituent and I urge you to oppose LD 1601. This dangerous legislation would completely defund our state's successful Companion Animal Sterilization Fund, which provides low-cost spay/neuter services to our low-income dog and cat lovers.

Please stand up for our state's cats and dogs and for the people that love them. Oppose LD 1601.

Thank you.
