Insurance should be based on risk — not a dog’s breed.
You have the chance to put an end to breed discrimination in the homeowners and renters insurance markets. Legislation to end this practice is working its way through the state legislature. If S. 533/H. 554 becomes law, insurance companies will finally be required to view all dogs as individuals.
On October 17, the Joint Committee on Financial Services will hold a hearing on S.533/H.554. Your voice is critical to giving this legislation the best chance of passing.
Take action now to let your senator or representative know that discrimination in all forms is wrong and has no place in our state. Ask them to support S. 533/H. 554 in committee and beyond.
Together, we are fighting breed discrimination to Save Them All.
Dear [Decision Maker],
As a constituent, I urge you support S. 533/H. 554. This lifesaving legislation will finally put an end to the practice of breed-based discrimination in homeowners and renters insurance.
