Urge your senators to support veterinary services for pets in need.Lifesaving legislation has been introduced in the Washington Senate which would allow animal care and control agencies and nonprofit humane societies to provide additional veterinary services to low-income households.Senate Bill 5004 provides that veterinary care may be provided where there is an unexpected, serious occurrence or situation that urgently requires prompt action in order to prevent an animal's death or permanent injury. This will have an important positive impact on the lives of pets throughout Washington, and the families who love them.
Don’t delay! SB 5004 is scheduled for a hearing before the Senate Committee on Health and Long Term Care on Wednesday, February 6, so now is the time for you to speak up.
