NC: Survivors of dogfighting need your help

Urge your senator to vote YES on HB 878.

Currently, North Carolina is one of only seven states with laws that discriminate against survivors of dogfighting.

Fortunately, you can help end this discrimination now.

House Bill 878 would eliminate an arbitrary and stigmatizing automatic label of “dangerous” for victims of dogfighting — allowing these dogs and puppies the chance to find homes they deserve.

Take action: Ask your senator to vote YES on HB 878.

Please vote YES on HB 878

Dear [Decision Maker],

As a North Carolina resident and your constituent, I urge you to vote YES on House Bill 878.

In the past six years, the states of California, Wisconsin, Delaware, Rhode Island, Florida and Massachusetts have all removed similarly stigmatizing labels with strong bipartisan support. It's time for North Carolina to do the same.

Please vote YES on HB 878. Thank you.

Sincerely,
