Best Friends - Save Them All(R)
Take a peek behind the scenes at Horse Haven!
Dear Friend,

For the animals who find themselves at the Sanctuary's Horse Haven, often because their families can no longer afford to care for them, "greener pastures" is more than just a metaphor. It's a dream come true. Horse Haven offers not only wide open spaces, room to roam, top-notch care and steady companionship, but (you guessed it) a stable environment in all the important ways.

Thanks to your generosity and Best Friends' incredible caregivers, it's truly a haven for animals with nowhere left to turn, including wild mustangs, ex-racehorses, donkeys, mules and goats. There are dedicated times throughout the day for training and enrichment, and if desired, enjoying the company of other horses. Tuesday afternoons are reserved for walks to the canyon, giving the animals a chance to take in new scenery and feel a variety of surfaces under their feet. The entire setup is pretty spectacular: Have a look.

For many animals, their time here is temporary: It's a place to crash while they await their very own homes. For others, many of whom have special needs, Horse Haven is where they will live out their days. And because the structures are in close proximity to our state-of-the-art clinic designed especially for large animals, horses receive veterinary care with minimal stress ― a crucial component to the healing process.

So please check out Horse Haven for yourself. We're thrilled to show you around.

Sincerely,
