Woof

Sorry, we could not fetch what you were looking for -- please wait while we throw the ball again.

Together, we’ll make the whole country no-kill by 2025.

When Cannoli ended up in a Los Angeles city shelter, it was clear that he needed some extra help. He was nervous both walking on leash and being around other dogs, so he was having a hard time finding a family. Fortunately, Best Friends has been working with L.A. city shelters and other local animal welfare groups for years, so Cannoli hitched a ride to Best Friends in Los Angeles.

Soon after he arrived, Cannoli worked one-on-one with a behavior specialist and got plenty of quality time with Danny, a Best Friends volunteer. Danny took Cannoli on hikes and car rides along the coast and posted videos of him on social media. A young couple looking to foster a dog saw one of Cannoli’s videos — and they were instantly smitten. It took Cannoli time to warm up, but today he couldn’t be happier. He’s now officially part of the family — adopted!

Your gift today not only ensures that pets like Cannoli get the lifesaving second chance they deserve, it gets us one step closer to bringing the entire country to no-kill.

Together, we will Save Them All. On behalf of homeless pets everywhere, thank you.
