2019 Phoenix Strut Your Mutt

H.A.R.T. (Homeless Animals Rescue Team)

Thank you for visiting the H.A.R.T. Strut Your Mutt Team page. We’re raising money to help homeless animals and end the cycle of animal suffering. Our mission is to engage in activities that curb overpopulation, impede the feral cat cycle, re-home abandoned cats and kittens, and promote responsible pet ownership. Our approach utilizes spaying and neutering as its primary weapon. We accomplish this goal by implementing feral cat management through the Trap, Neuter & Return program (TNR).

Your donation will help homeless animals receive medical treatment (vet fees, medications - prescriptions, flea and ear mite treatment - surgeries, dentals, testing, etc), food and litter. H.A.R.T. volunteers feed over 125 feral cats every night at 10 different feeding stations, and adoptable kittens and cats go to foster homes where medical expenses, food and litter are provided by H.A.R.T.

Estimated example of medical costs incurred:

Spay $45
Neuter $30
Combo test $40
Rabies vaccine $15
Revolution $15
Deworming $5
Extra meds and prescriptions could cost $60
FVRCP vaccines and syringes $5/$10 per cat (more for kittens who get at least 2 vaccines)
$3K on some cats for surgeries, x-rays, MRI, ultra sounds, stitching up wounds, tail amputation, etc.

Every day, nearly 2,200 dogs and cats are killed in America's shelters simply because they don't have safe places to call home. That number should be zero. That’s why our team is participating in Best Friends Animal Society’s Strut Your Mutt event to raise money for animals. BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP TOO!

Please join us either by registering for our team or donating to one of our team members. Your donation is tax deductible and each participating animal welfare organization keeps 100 percent of the money raised after transaction fees. And the best part? That money will help save the lives of homeless pets.

Together, we can Save Them All.

Thank you for your support!
