For Cicely's 10th Birthday she wants to donate to the Best Friends Animal Society. Cicely is a lover all animals and appreciates that Best Friends and their policies work towards the no-kill movement. She would like everyone to donate to the Society versus recieving gifts. We will be taking a trip down there in October where she will be able tour the facility and learn more about how they provide a safe home to so many animals. If you cannot donate monetarily and would like to donate supplies we will be taking some stuff down with us on our trip. There is also an Amazon Wish List available and I will share that at a later time. Below is some history on Best Friends and their sanctuary.
Founded in 1984, Best Friends is a pioneer in the no-kill movement and has helped reduce the number of animals killed in shelters nationwide from an estimated 17 million per year to around 625,000. That means there are still about 1,700 dogs and cats killed every day in shelters, just because they don’t have safe places to call home. We are determined to bring the country to no-kill by the year 2025. That number should be zero. And if we work together, it can be.
That's why I created this fundraiser.
When you donate to my fundraiser, you'll be helping around 1,600 dogs, cats, bunnies, birds, horses, and other barnyard animals who on any given day reside at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. Plus, you'll be helping to save the lives of homeless pets all across the country through lifesaving adoption and spay/neuter programs, no-kill initiatives, and more.
Thank you for donating to help save animals' lives. Together, we will Save Them All.
