Sam Podolsky
11/29/79 - 6/23/24
Sam was born in Salt Lake City to Nano and Gil Podolsky. He graduated from Judge Memorial High School, where he played lacrosse and was voted both Best Personality and Funniest by his classmates. He later attended San Francisco State University, where he also earned an MBA. He worked in residential real estate in San Francisco for over a decade before moving to Dallas for several years. He eventually returned to Salt Lake during the pandemic to help care for his ailing mother.
Sam loved animals, particularly shelter dogs and cats. He had been a regular volunteer at the Salt Lake Animal Services shelter for several years. During his life, he adopted a number of homeless cats, including two Siamese kittens, Animal and Monster; a terrifically unlikable cat, Turtle; and a partly Albino kitten, Darryl, who had been living in a homeless encampment in Salt Lake. Just days before his death, he and his father adopted a sweet lug of a dog from Best Friends.
Thank you for considering a donation to honor Sam's memory.
