Help Me, Help My Cat and His Friends

Thankfully, I do not have a sad story about why I am fundraising for Best Friends, nor do I have the best story about why I am doing it on the back of running a "10K Spartan Race" on March 31. Our cat Murray is healthy and making his way through the world (on three legs no less) and I decided to sign up for this race because a friend of mine (shout out to Chris Wiggum) mentioned he was running it.

But there are lots of animals that need our help and do you really want to be the person that says “Sorry, you’re adorable and better than humans. I want you to be my pal, but I just won’t donate a few bucks to make sure you’re comfy and happy while waiting to be adopted.” Do you?!

$13 - A thank you from me on a HANDWRITTEN card. Old school.

$23 - A custom Cameo video from MURRAY. That's right; our cat will record a custom Cameo for you (or a loved one! or a not so loved one!) delivered right to your email.

$33 - A MYSTERY bottle of wine or champagne signed by ✨me✨

​$53 - A custom Cameo video from... ME . NOTHING is off limits (sort of). I'll record whatever you want (kind of), for you, a friend, a significant other, whoever you want (probably).

A box of freshly roasted and curated Indian spices and a traditional recipe from my mother-in-law. You know where you can get the best Indian food in LA? My in-laws' house. Now you can find out what it's like to eat there.

$73 - You know how you've always wanted a custom mug with Murray's face on it? Donate $73 and that's exactly what you'll get. ☕

$93 - A freshly baked batch of a dozen cookies by me . I spent the latter half of last year baking through a new cookie book and now I'm ready to go. Examples of the types of cookies you'll receive: Brown Butter Brownie Cookie, PB&J Moonpie, Spice Cookie Sandwich with Brown Butter Frosting, Sesame Black and White, etc.

$153 - I also spent last year making all sorts of batched cocktails. At this level, you get one bottle of a batched cocktail (probably has about 10 servings in it). Example cocktails include: Bacon-Fat Washed Old Fashioned, Black Manhattan, Sakura Vesper, etc. 

$1003 - Every Thanksgiving, I'm proud of the spread of food that I help to put on the table (in addition to the great food from others in the family). But I can confidently say that this Thanksgiving spread is better than anything you've had before: KFC style fried turkey, whipped brown butter, lemony old bay chips, the list goes on. If you donate $1003 or above, you and a friend are invited to Thanksgiving in the Valley. 

PS. You might be wondering "why all of the 3's in the fundraising goal and dollar amounts above?" Because our cat Murray recently needed surgery to remove bone cancer in one of his legs (arms?). He's now doing just fine, but doing it on three legs. And I love him. A lot.
