As an endurance runner, dog mom, and advocate for pushing boundaries, my husband Josh and I are proud parents to our four rescue pups: Reis, Turk, Robin, and Sully. Despite battling four autoimmune diseases and navigating anxiety/PTSD, I refuse to let setbacks define me. A career-ending injury in college led to a dark period, but it also ignited a fire within me to reclaim my life. I set a goal to become a runner and, a year later, crossed the finish line of my first 5K. Since then, I have conquered countless races, multiple ultramarathons, and several 100-mile races, maintaining an 8+ year run streak. Just last year, I ran just under 8,000 miles across America in 202 days. Through it all, Josh and our furry companions have been unwavering pillars of support.
Together, Josh and I are huge advocates for animals in need. We volunteer at our local shelters and often have at least one foster dog in our house. We do the majority of our running and hiking miles accompanied by our four pups.
Together, we founded the Bad Ass Running Crew, empowering others to embrace their inner strength.
Now, we are gearing up for our next challenge: the Grand to Grand Ultra Marathon in September 2024, all to raise funds for Best Friends Animal Society. Join us as we prove that we can all conquer the odds and make a difference for animals in need.
That's why we created this fundraiser.
When you donate to our fundraiser, you'll be helping around 1,600 dogs, cats, bunnies, birds, horses, and other barnyard animals who on any given day reside at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. Plus, you'll be helping to save the lives of homeless pets all across the country through lifesaving adoption and spay/neuter programs, no-kill initiatives, and more.
Thank you for donating to help save animals' lives. Together, we will Save Them All
