The Best Friends Pet Resource Center

The Best Friends Pet Resource Center in Northwest Arkansas will shape the future of animal sheltering nationwide.  We are building a bright and open and inviting space that will be a community destination.  We want to demonstrate a progressive approach to animal sheltering.  We will have an adoption space that will benefit not just our animals, but shelter and rescue partner pets too.  We will coordinate transports for animals in high risk areas and move them to areas where there is a higher demand to adopt, a complete resource space for the community to help intensivy their bond with their pets and the most exciting thing is that we will have a medical clinic to expand low cost spay and neuter services to the public.

Since it was founded in 1984, Best Friends Animal Society has helped reduce the number of dogs and cats killed in shelters nationwide from 17 million per year to about 800,000. That's incredible progress, but it means 2,200 dogs and cats are still being killed in America's shelters every day, simply because they don't have safe places to call home. That number should be zero. And if we work together, it can be.

Help us build our new home and save the lives of pets in NW Arkansas and throughout the region!
