Dear friends and family of Regina,
As anyone who knew Reg knows, animals were the cause nearest and dearest to her. Reg and Mike have always had pets and all of their pets have been rescues. Through the years our lives have been enriched by our departed cats Hildegarde, Raquel and Mr. Nick. We have also had wonderful dogs, Max, Zoot, Guido, Winston and Mae. Our lives are currently enriched by our cat AddieCat, our dog Zoe and our grand dog Teddy. Animals love you unconditionally because of and in spite of who you are. Reg and Mike have always supported animal charities. Best Friends was her favorite cause. She liked that they offer a combination of rescue and adoption as well as taking care of elderly and infirm animals. Thank you for honoring her memory with a donation.
Since it was founded in 1984, Best Friends Animal Society has helped reduce the number of dogs and cats killed in shelters nationwide from 17 million per year to about 800,000. That's incredible progress, but it means nearly 2,200 dogs and cats are still being killed in America's shelters every day, simply because they don't have safe places to call home.
