Hey Y'all! Thanks for clicking on our holiday fundraiser. This holiday season, Leroy and I are walking to raise money for Best Friends Animal Society. Founded in 1984, Best Friends is a pioneer in the no-kill movement and has helped reduce the number of animals killed in shelters nationwide from an estimated 17 million per year to around 733,000. That means there are still about 2,000 dogs and cats killed every day in shelters, just because they don’t have safe places to call home. Leroy almost became one of those dogs.
Leroy is originally from a kill shelter in Mississippi, but was saved and brought up by Reach Rescue, located in Illinois. He is now loving his new home of Madison, WI where he loves to go on walks, chase squirrels, and snuggle with his human...me, Bailey!
Leroy and I plan to strut over 50 miles this holiday season as we try to reach our fundraising goal of $750 by January 1st! When you donate to my fundraiser, you'll be helping around 1,600 dogs, cats, bunnies, birds, horses, and other barnyard animals who on any given day reside at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. Plus, you'll be helping to save the lives of homeless pets all across the country through lifesaving adoption and spay/neuter programs, no-kill initiatives, and more. Best Friends' goal is to bring the country to no-kill by the year 2025.
Thank you for donating to help save animals' lives. Together, we will Save Them All.
