For the sixth year in a row, I’m participating in Strut Your Mutt, a fundraising walk hosted by Best Friends that saves the lives of homeless pets right here in my community and all across the country. I strut my mutts to raise funds for Badass Animal Rescue. They saved all three of my dogs and I couldn't be more grateful.
2021 marks the 10th Anniversary of Badass Brooklyn Animal Rescue. The organization has been saving lives with an almost purely volunteer group of dedicated people saving dogs from high kill shelters. We have a lofty goal this year - we want to raise $20,000! (My personal goal is $2000) These funds enable us to rescue, spay/neuter, vaccinate, test for heartworm, provide flea and heartworm preventatives, and deworm. We also treat illnesses, such as heartworm and necessary surgeries for dogs with serious injuries. Badass has no shelter space and relies on our dedicated foster families to house, care for, and train our dogs before adoption.
Please help me save more dogs like Bessie, Sadie and Edie! Not only are you saving the lives of animals, you're bringing lots of love into a home near you.
This cause means so much to me that I have joined the Badass board. I am grateful for your help. Every day, about 950 dogs and cats are killed in America's shelters, simply because they don't have safe places to call home. Each one is a loving pet just like yours and mine.
Thank you for your kind support,
