2021 Strut Your Mutt Day

Metro East Humane Society

Thank you for visiting our MEHS Strut Your Mutt Team page. We’re raising money to help end the killing of pets in America’s shelters. And we plan on having a lot of fun doing it!

Every day, more than 950 dogs and cats are killed in America's shelters simply because they don't have safe places to call home. That number should be zero. That’s why our team is participating in Best Friends Animal Society’s Strut Your Mutt event to raise money for animals. But we need your help, too.

Please join us either by registering for our team or donating to one of our team members. Your donation is tax deductible and each participating animal welfare organization keeps 100 percent of the money raised after transaction fees. And the best part? That money will help save the lives of homeless pets.

The mission of Metro East Humane Society is to improve animal welfare in the St. Louis Metro East by providing quality animal services including adoption of animals, advocacy and preventative initiatives. To achieve our mission, we...

Staff and support a "no-kill" animal shelter dedicated to providing a safe and healthy environment for cats and dogs;

Provide humane medical treatment, vaccinations, and spay/neuter services to animals in our community;

Promote the education of adults and youth on the humane treatment of animals, including responsible pet ownership and population control measures;

Value and encourage partnerships with community-based organizations, schools, public institutions, private corporations, and elected officials; and

Respect the public trust through the proper management of our resources.

Together, we can Save Them All.

Thank you for your support!
