**** UPDATE ****
The shelter in Puerto Rico that took me off the streets, El Faro de Los Animales, was hit hard by Hurricane Irma. They had trees fall on the structures and fences broken! AND all of the water tanks are broken AND there is no electricity. It's gonna be 4-6 MONTHS before it's fixed! Right now, all my friends are IN THE DARK AND HAVE NO FRESH WATER! To fix the tanks & get a generator - which they need to do right away - it's about $15K. Please help us keep my buddies there safe and help us to get future buddies off the streets and into good homes.
This year I am strutting for the people who saved my life - the good humans at Animal Lighthouse Rescue.
Humans from El Faro de los Animales, a no-kill sanctuary in Puerto Rico, found me in a parking lot. My ears were all chewed up, and I need some eye surgery. And I was really skinny, hungry and sorta bald. They fed me and got my eyes done - you should see them now! Great work! Anyway, the El Faro humans got in touch with the Animal Lighthouse humans and put me on a plane (kinda scary) to NYC.
When I arrived at Camp Canine, there were so many nice dogs and humans - and great treats! After hanging out there for a week, a lady brought me home. I liked my new home and fell in love with my momma. Now I'm the mayor of the Upper West Side.
All casue of some nice humans at El Faro & Animal Lighthouse Rescue. I'd like to save as many of the other 249,999 stray dogs in Puerto Rico as I can. Please help me.
