We really need YOUR HELP this year! Since Nov. 2010, we have saved over 2000 dogs facing euthanasia in municipal shelters. We've also saved many more dogs from abandonement, owner surrender, vet's offices, the Korean Dog-Meat Trade, abusive situations, domestic violence, military deployed owners & other tragic circumstances. In 2016 alone, we spent over $100,000 on vetting & medical care & another $44,000 on training & rehabilitation. That's not including what we spend on food, supplies, transportation, boarding, maintenance meds/supplements & another costs. Rescue is costly but, it's worth it! The difference we make in the lives of dogs hoping for a second chance, is priceless! Kyla is just one of those dogs whose live we've changed.

Kyla's Story: Kyla was brought into a local veterinary clinic in NJ on St. Patrick's Day. At just 9 weeks old, she was unable to eat or keep food down. Kyla was underweight & malnourished. Her owner was told that she had Megaesophogus & needed diagnostic testing to determine the cause & extent of her condition. The owner couldn't afford this care & was given the impossible choice of euthanizing her or taking her to the pound. The owner instead surrendered her to our care, so we could get Kyla the medical care she needed in a foster home. Kyla has undergone 2 surgeries, CTs, X-rays & treatment totaling over $11,000. Kyla is worth every penny & every effort. But, we can't help Kyla & dogs like her, without YOUR HELP!
