Thank you for visiting our team page! We'd like to introduce you to Roxy! She is a precious 11 year old Chihuahua mix who came to us as a stray in June 2017. She is a little girl, weighing in at only 8.6 pounds. She is calm, affectionate and just a very sweet girl. She is always smiling and wants nothing more than to be right by your side.
When no one came in to claim her, our staff discovered Roxy needed some dental work to keep her healthy, which is why her cute little tongue hangs out the side now! She then went to a foster family to get extra care and time to heal. When she came back she began seizures, so she went to a new foster family so she could get the personal love and medical attention she needed.
We're happy to report that Roxy was adopted in August! She went to a loving home where she will get all the belly rubs she can handle.
West Valley Humane Society is a non-profit, open admission animal shelter dedicated to helping every animal! We provide compassionate animal services through shelter, adoption, educational programs, population control and health care services. Young or old, furry or feathery, all animals deserve a forever home. We do everything we can to help our pets receive homes no matter how long they are in our care.
More than 5,500 dogs and cats are euthanized in America's shelters simply because they don't have enough safe places to call home. That number should be zero. That’s why we’re participating in Best Friends Animal Society’s Strut Your Mutt Day!
Please join us either by registering for our team or making a donation. Your donation is tax deductible and West Valley Humane Society keeps 100 percent of the money that’s raised after transaction fees. And the best part is that money will go to the direct care and support of pets just like Roxy. More than 5,000 animals come through our shelter every year who need our help. We can only provide that help with your support!
Thank you for the gift to make a lasting difference in the lives of animals. Together we can Save Them All!
