Watts Project

Watts Project started off as a one-volunteer rescue effort 16 years ago when their rescue founder, Amanda Casarez, began helping animals in her hometown of Watts. On September 21st, 2013, Watts Project became an official 501c3 non-profit organization.
Their volunteers work hand in hand with underserved communities to bring awareness of the importance of spay & neuter and responsible pet ownership.
They provide homeless and low income pet owners with food, veterinary care, and other much needed supplies.
However, Watts Project is more than just a rescue. This organization has created programs; each with a specific goaL. Read 2 Paws is a program that teaches children compassion and puts their reading skills to practice by having them read to shelter/rescued animals outside of their sometimes stressful environment. So Fresh 'N' So Clean is a community program that provides free grooming services to shelter animals and low income pet owners. Lastly, this rescue is also committed to assisting in reuniting lost and found pets with their owners.

Watts Project is dedicated to rescuing abused, neglected, and injured animals off the streets and shelters of Watts, South LA, and Compton California.

Please help support Watts Project's rescue and community outreach efforts with your donation.

Thank you!

“We rescue them, We rehab them, We love them, We let go of them. And then we do it all over again.”
