Shelter Jump-start (Completed 07/11/2015)

●     The first five shelters (municipal shelters or private 501(c)(3) shelters with a municipal contract) to raise $1,000 will receive an additional $1,000 donation toward their fundraising goals.

●     There will be no time limit on when groups must reach the $1,000 mark, but it must be reached by the close of their event’s online fundraising.

●     Congratulations to our five shelter partner winners!  San Gabriel Valley Humane Society-LA Strut, Utah FACES of Salt Lake County Animal Services-Salt Lake City Strut, Volunteers of the Burbank Animal Shelter- LA Strut, Southern Pines Animal Shelter- SYM Challenge, and Friends of Clay County Animals- Jacksonville Strut.


Early bird incentive (Completed 06/15/15)

●     All Network partner teams with at least 30 participants who registered between May 4 and June 5 will be entered into a drawing. Fifteen teams will be randomly selected to win $500 toward their fundraising goal.

●     During this time, registration fees will be 50 percent off for all participants.

Team fundraising incentive (Completed 08/03/2015)

●     Any Network partner team with at least 15 participants of any registration type having raised $100 each by August 3 will be entered into a drawing. Fifteen groups will be randomly selected to win $500 toward their fundraising goal.

●     During this time, registration fees will also be 25 percent off for all participants.

Strut Speed-fundraising incentive (Completed 09/10/2015)

  ●    Be one of the first five teams to raise $5,000 (in addition to what you have already raised) between August 27 5 p.m. Eastern time and September 10 5 p.m. Eastern  time and you’ll win an extra $1,000 toward your fundraising goal. 

●    All teams and events (including the SYM Challenge) are eligible, regardless of previous incentive awards

●    Team captains of winning teams will be notified via email by Friday, September 11, 2 pm ET

Top fundraiser awards 


Top Network partner team
(formerly the “golden bone”)

●     This award is given to the Network partner team raising the most funds as of 12 noon in the event city’s time zone the day prior to their event. For the online Strut Your Mutt Challenge, the winner will be determined as of 11:59 p.m. ET on November 7, which coincides with the closing of online donations for the final live event.

●     There will be one first place and one second place cash award given away per event (including the Strut Your Mutt Challenge).

●     The first place team will win $1,000 and the second place team will win $500.

●     The winning teams will be announced onstage at each live event. For the online Strut Your Mutt Challenge, the team captain will be notified via email. Note that trophies will not be available at the event, but instead, the team captain will receive a personalized, engraved trophy by mail following the event. No trophies are awarded to second place teams. Only teams raising a minimum of $5,000 in gross funds will receive a trophy, though the monetary awards will be credited, regardless.

●     Incentive funds (the $1,000 and $500 awards) will be included in the winning team’s final Strut Your Mutt check.

●    For Live Strut Your Mutt Events. Offline Donation Forms and corresponding check copies must be received, in hand, by Best Friends no later than 5 p.m. Eastern Time, two (2) weeks prior to the event date.

●  For the online Strut Your Mutt Challenge. Offline Donation Forms and corresponding check copies must be received, in hand, by Best Friends no  later than 5 p.m. Eastern Time, on Saturday, November 7, 2015.

 


Top individual fundraiser
(formerly the “golden collar”)

●     This award is given to the individual raising the most funds as of 12 noon in the event city the day prior to each event. This is only valid for live events, not for the online Strut Your Mutt Challenge.

●     The winning individual will be announced onstage at each event. Note that all trophies will be mailed, not awarded at the events. The top individual fundraiser in each city must raise a minimum of $1,500 to be eligible for this award. 

●     All individuals registered for Strut Your Mutt live events will qualify for this award, not just Network partner participants.
