NorCal Boxer Rescue is so excited to be participating for the fifth year in Best Friends' annual Strut Your Mutt event in San Francisco! Last year's Strut Your Mutt was not only a ton of fun, but thanks to all of our teammates and donors, the event raised over $73,000 for NorCal Boxer Rescue and we were the top fundraising team in San Francisco. Our success last year is a testament to your generosity, your dedication, your caring, and - most of all - your belief that the work NorCal Boxer Rescue does is important and worthy of your support.
And your support is just what we need. At a time when our vet expenses are always increasing (and now exceeding $200,000/year), the funds raised at last year's Strut Your Mutt were vitally important to our organization. In the first six months of 2019, these funds helped us to care for dogs like:
Jade, an extremely sweet and easygoing girl who required bilateral TPLO after being hit by a car.
Niason, a cute boy whose tail wiggles a million miles per hour, despite needing a leg amputated due to a gunshot that shattered his elbow.
Ilsa, a gentle little lady who entered rescue with uncontrolled Cushings Disease as well as cardiac issues requiring management.
Sloan, a puppy so emaciated and covered with ticks that she weighed only 16 pounds at 4 months of age.
Panda, an adorable little girl who arrived in rescue with a gaping wound on her leg.
Kilkenny, Bunny, Sasha, Brutus, Lola, Bryodi, Chester, Hazel, and Finn - all senior dogs who found themselves homeless in their golden years but whose grey muzzles render them no less deserving of love and comfort.
In just the first six months of 2019, all of these dogs and so many others have benefitted from NCBR's work and from the support of caring people like you.
You can help us continue to provide the care that these dogs need by:
Joining our team! Your registration fee is tax-deductible and counts as a donation to NCBR. It also gets you entrance into the Strut Your Mutt event, as well as a Strut Your Mutt t-shirt! (Note that registering to be on the team does not obligate you to attend the event, and attending the event does not obligate you to bring a dog with you.)
Inviting your friends to join our team! After all, what's more fun than strutting with your buddies?
Fundraising for our team! Once you register, let your friends know you are participating and ask for their support! Thanks to some generous donors, we will have some cool fundraising incentives for our fundraising teammates!
Donating to our team or teammates! All donations - whether directly to the team or to one of our teammates' pages - support NCBR's work.
Spreading the word! Share our team page with your friends and family!
Thank you for your support!
