I’m walking to save the lives of homeless pets in our community!
For the fourth year in a row, I’m participating in Strut Your Mutt, a fundraising walk hosted by Best Friends in support of Silicon Valley Pet Project's mission to save lives through rescue, education and community involvement. This is Silicon Valley Pet Project's annual fundraiser, and we are excited to rally our compassionate supporters to join us again this year.
Please support me by making a donation to my page which supports Silicon Valley Pet Project's life-saving work. We simply cannot do what we do without your generous support!
Since 2015, Silicon Valley Pet Project has rescued and rehomed almost 1,200 dogs and cats who needed medical support and care to thrive. Our local shelter, the San Jose Animal Care Center, relies on our organization to help them save many of the most vulnerable animals that come into their shelter lost, injured or just scared. We rescue these special pets and provide them with all of the medical and behavioral support they need - all in a loving home environment so they can thrive.
One of our most recent rescues comes to mind as a great example of how important our work is.
Silicon Valley Pet Project recently rescued a senior dachshund from the shelter. This dachshund had a hernia, severe ear infections, a heart murmur, bad teeth and was later diagnosed with Cushings Disease and deaf. Despite all of her health challenges, Frida loved everyone she met and was the happiest girl we had met in a long time. I had the honor of fostering this sweet mini hound and nursing her back to health. She later met the perfect family who had been looking for a canine companion for the past year. Frida was the perfect match and now spends her days napping, alerting her family to the smell of yummy food, and finding the best place to bury a toy.
We celebrate the Fridas of the world and the compassionate community who supports us in this inspiring work.
Thank you for your kind support.
