I’m walking to save the lives of homeless pets!
This year, I’m participating in Strut Your Mutt, a fundraising walk hosted by Best Friends that saves the lives of homeless pets right here in my community and all across the country.
Both of my basset hounds were adopted from Helping Hands Basset Rescue. Our family is grateful they were taken out of shelters and brought into foster homes provided by the rescue. Breed rescues allow for more dogs to be saved by freeing up kennels in the shelter. The Animal Rescue Village is a puzzle of interconnecting pieces that fit together to save more lives. We all need eachother to get the job done. I personally have fostered dogs in my home but that is not the only way to support our mission of rescuing basset hounds in Central Texas.
How can you help us and be a partcipating member of the rescue community?
Please support me by making a donation to my page. Your gift helps homeless pets and will support the animal welfare group I’ve chosen to walk for which is Helping Hands Basset Rescue.
This cause means so much to me and I am grateful for your help. Every day, more than 2,200 dogs and cats are killed in America's shelters, simply because they don't have safe places to call home. Each one is a loving pet just like yours and mine.
Together, we can Save Them All and reduce that number to zero. Thank you for your kind support.
