Coastal German Shepherd Rescue turns 15 this year and all of my rescue friends understand what a big deal that is for us. To people outside of rescue, that might not seem like much. Nestlé has been around since the 1800s. But ask yourself how many rescues you've seen stick around for 15 years. It's under two dozen in CA, I'm pretty sure. Even the first GSD rescue that started it all has shut down this year!
Will you help me in supporting Coastal German Shepherd Rescue? This is a group for whom I volunteer and can't say enough about the life-saving work they do by taking on sick, injured, and homeless dogs, rehabilitating them, and finding them adopters who will love and cherish them. My last dog was from Coastal and the one I'm currently "fostering" has been with them since 2012. They never put a dog down just because it's taking them longer to find a home- once they rescue a dog, they are committed to them for their lifetime. They also take dogs back, if it's 9 weeks or 9 years post adoption. Any dog they rescue is safe for life! Zeus, my current foster, is the best dog, but can be a knucklehead around other dogs. That's it. He's been just about perfect in every other way and if he never gets adopted, he'll be with me until the end.
If you would please consider a tax deductible donation, it would mean so much to me. I give all of my time to them, but I'm not wealthy and can't give tons of money. What I can do is ask everyone I know to help me in supporting them with this annual fundraiser. It's once a year, but can carry the rescue for months if we hit the goal. Would you please (please!) consider skipping a meal out and donating to dogs in need? They have saved thousands of lives and need funds to continue changing these lives for the better. Thank you!
