Shadow Cats has just fullfilled a dream and you can be a part. We've purchased a property and are working on creating a Shadow Cats sanctuary (outside of Sheila and Dr. Roy's home). Until this year, it's only been a dream, but now it's reality. However, along with reality, comes a mortgage.
This year, I’m participating in Strut Your Mutt, a fundraising walk to help benefit Shadow Cats and the cats they help like Tabbytha (pictured). I remember when I first met her at Central Texas Cat Hospital, with a gaping wound on her face, her nose and upper lip completely missing from what was believed to be an injury from a fan belt in a car. Yet, with the exception of her appearance, she was just like any other fun-loving kitten. My admiration for her survival quickly blossomed into love. It was thought she’d need multiple surgeries. However, she proved everyone wrong when only one was needed. Though that wasn’t the end of her trials. It was touch-and-go for a while, when she became extremely ill after the surgery. Without a nose, she doesn’t have a filter to keep out harmful germs and viruses. She bounced back, but her health will always need to be watched carefully – which makes the Shadow Cats sanctuary a safe landing for her.
Please support me by making a donation to my page. Your gift helps Tabbytha, Shadow Cats, and our long dream of a true sanctuary.
Thank you for your kind support.
