I’m walking to save the lives of homeless Boxers!
This year, I’m participating in Strut Your Mutt, a fundraising walk hosted by Best Friends that saves the lives of homeless pets right here in my community and all across the country. The funds I raise for Strut Your Mutt will be sent to my favorite charity, NorCal Boxer Rescue (NCBR).
Because you know me, you know that my dogs mean everything to me and that they were all rescued by NCBR. Dude was picked up as a stray in Yolo County, Sugar was in foster care for two years before we adopted her and Clyde was surrendered by his owner along with his canine housemate. He was terrified to be in the shelter.
NCBR's motto is "leave no Boxer behind" and, as an all volunteer organization, we work really hard to do just that. I spend my volunteer time working with applicants to find the right Boxer for their family. Other folks transport our dogs from shelters to their foster homes (freedom rides!) or vet, organize fundraisers and events to promote fostering our dogs and many other tasks to keep NCBR afloat. All of our funds go to supporting our dogs.
If you are so inclined, please consider supporting my efforts by making a donation to my page. Your gift helps save the lives of wiggly, slobbery, goofy Boxers like Dude, Sugar and Clyde. A few dollars can go a long way.
Thank you for your kind support. Clyde is promising free kisses to all his supporters.
