Thanks for visiting my page!
My mom founded Muddy Paws Rescue in 2016 with absolutely no idea what she was getting herself into, but I am so glad she did because Muddy Paws is the reason I am alive and happy today!
I was found lying in a literal cesspool under a home with 20+ other dogs I was skinny and terrified. My mom tells me that she wasn’t going to take a foster home because her firstborn Bailey did not take kindly to foster siblings, but a sick puppy needed some extra care from her. She took me home too, because she needed some help puppy sitting. I did the best I could and soon the puppy was healthy and bouncing off the walls. I was afraid mom would move me again now that she didn’t need my help, but for some reason she kept me as a foster! I was as good as I knew how to be and mostly stayed curled in a ball on what I learned was called a “couch,” trying not to look at Bailey so that she would leave me alone.
I knew mom was in love with me before she knew, and made it clear I did not want to go home with any of the strange people she brought to meet me. One day, mom came home and announced that she had officially adopted me and I could stay forever! I was so relieved and I celebrating by eating flip flops and expensive bras!
Since then, I’ve helped teach hundreds of other Muddy Paws dogs how to play, how to eat flip-flops, and how to avoid the little white devil on the other side of the baby gate. I take my job very seriously and I hope you will consider supporting me, since mom thinks for some reason that paying me in kibble is enough. I want to save as many other pups as I can, especially ones like me who get a bad rap because of our “breed.”
Please support the next generation of flip flop eaters and help educate them about the dangers of small white fluffy dogs. Donate today, and come strut with me if you can on October 5! Me and my mom thank you. Bailey, not so much.
Footnote from Shyla’s mom: I love her too even though she is almost 4 and STILL eating flip flops. She makes up for it by being an amazing foster sister. Please donate and help us continue to rescue vacuums disguised as dogs.
