I'm walking to save the lives of homeless pets like Macho! This year, Macho and I are again participating in Strut Your Mutt, a fundraising walk hosted by Best Friends that saves the lives of homeless pets right here in Washington, DC and all across the country. Your gift will support Lucky Dog Aminal Rescue.
This cause means so much to me and I am grateful for your help. Every day, more than 2,200 dogs and cats are killed in America's shelters, simply because they don't have safe places to call home. Each one is a loving pet just like yours and mine. In 2017 Lucky Dog saved Macho from a high kill shelter in rural SC, where he ended up through no fault of his own. Macho had clearly been mistreated - he has a hole through his snout that was likely caused by a BB gun shot a point blank range. But with the help of volunteers and donors like you, Lucky Dog was able to provide Macho with medical treatment, transportation to DC and a foster home until he was adopted. Now, we can't imagine our lives with out this sweet little guy, and all the love he's received he pays forward - giving kisses and spreading smiles everywhere he goes.
Now, Macho and I are thrilled to be able to give back to the rescue that saved him and help them bring more innocent animals out of the shelters and into their loving forever homes. We would love your financial support to help Lucky Dog and Best Friends Animal Society in their goal to reduce shelter euthanizations to ZERO. Lucky Dog is volunteer run and 100% of your donation supports the animals.
Below are the costs Lucky Dog incurs to provide lifesaving care and services to shelter animals, but any amount you can donate helps!
$25 covers one day of boarding until an animal finds a foster home
$60 covers essential vaccines for one animal
$125 covers the cost of spay/neuter for one animal
$350 provides lifesaving heartworm treatment for one animal
$600 covers the cost of a transport van bringing 30 animals from a high kill shetler to DC
Together, we can "Save Them All"! Thank you for your kind support, and please feel free to reach out to me if you'd like more information about volunteering, fostering or adopting with Lucky Dog.
