I'm walking to save the lives of all the beautiful boxers who have been left out on the streets to fend for themselves, or thrown away at the shelter, often euthanized because no one sees their potential.
The organization I'm walking for, NorCal Boxer Rescue, does so much for the dogs they save, going above and beyond with their medical care, training and behavior intervention. They do so much to give these pups a second chance.
I know about their dedication first-hand.
I know this because my Marshall Bear was originally found on the streets as a stray with a badly broken leg. He was rescued by NCBR who, with the help of their partner vets and sponsors, paid for the very costly surgery to repair his leg. We have had Marshall now for over five years and he still loves to run like the wind!
I know this because my Yogi Bear was saved from a shelter despite having terrible lesions on his leg that looked like they might cost him his leg or even his life. NCBR spared no expense to find out what was wrong, and then paid for the expensive medication to help cure him.
I know this because my Ranger Bear was rescued before he was even born when NCBR rescued a female boxer who surprised everyone by turning up pregnant!
