The NorCal Boxer Rescue Team did fantastic at the San Francisco Strut Your Mutt event, winning a bonus check for the most money raised by a team at that event.
Shasta and I and my dear friend Deanne strutted from across the bay that day at Rodeo Beach for Shasta's bucket list beach trip.
Today, September 21, in honor of Shasta's 9th birthday, I am hoping to help Nor Cal Boxer Rescue raise more funds to help homeless Boxers. There is still time to donate and hopefully I can help them reach thier goal!
From NorCal Boxer Rescue:
At a time when our vet expenses are always increasing (and now exceeding $200,000/year), the funds raised at last year's Strut Your Mutt were vitally important to our organization. In the first six months of 2019, these funds helped us to care for dogs like:
Jade, an extremely sweet and easygoing girl who required bilateral TPLO after being hit by a car.
Niason, a cute boy whose tail wiggles a million miles per hour, despite needing a leg amputated due to a gunshot that shattered his elbow.
Ilsa, a gentle little lady who entered rescue with uncontrolled Cushings Disease as well as cardiac issues requiring management.
Sloan, a puppy so emaciated and covered with ticks that she weighed only 16 pounds at 4 months of age.
Panda, an adorable little girl who arrived in rescue with a gaping wound on her leg.
Kilkenny, Bunny, Sasha, Brutus, Lola, Bryodi, Chester, Hazel, and Finn - all senior dogs who found themselves homeless in their golden years but whose grey muzzles render them no less deserving of love and comfort.
In just the first six months of 2019, all of these dogs and so many others have benefitted from NCBR's work and from the support of caring people like you.
Thank you for your support in helping Nor Cal Boxer Rescue and it's volunteers to continue to save and care for and find forever homes for these sweet pups!
Donations are accepted through October 31, 2019.
