2019 Austin Strut Your Mutt

Greyhound Adoption League of Texas, Inc. (GALT)

Thank you for visiting our team page. We are excited to participate in Strut Your Mutt again this year, and proud to do so alongside many other organizations from our community.

Our mission is to find responsible, loving homes for greyhounds and we did that 55 times last year. Did you know that not all those dogs are retired racers? We also pull greyhounds and large sighthound mixes from our over-crowded shelters, and we always accept relinquished greyhounds back into our program to keep them out of the shelter. A rare few dogs become permanent fosters that we continue to care for the remainder of their lives. We are “upside down” on every dog, meaning the adoption fee collected, does not cover our expenses. By far, our largest expense is medical care.

Please join our team to help us fulfill our mission. You can join us in person on September 14th, or support us with your online donation. You can also share this page with your network of friends and encourage them to support the greyhounds, too. Everyone is welcome to participate.

On Sept. 14 at Walter E. Long Park, packet pick up begins at 7am. Event runs from 9am - 12pm. Mutt Strut at 10am.
