My dog slept in a warm bed with me last night, snoring gently, content.
Homeless dogs sleep on cold, concrete floors in shelters, or in the dirt and mud by the side of busy roads, one ear always open to the threat of harm.
My dog ate a nutritionally-balanced, home cooked meal, complete with a vitamin, joint, and fish oil supplement.
Homeless dogs might not eat for days, and scrounge what little food they can get, rotting, out of garbage cans.
My dog has never known a harsh word from me, or a smack of the hand, or a cold shoulder.
Homeless dogs may know only indifference, cruelty, and violence; that is their only interaction with humans.
When it’s my dog’s time to leave this earth, he will leave peacefully, with me by his side, holding him until he takes his last breath.
Homeless dogs will take their last walk down a concrete path or down the side of a road, and will leave this earth knowing only pain and suffering without ever knowing love.
This bleak picture is the unfortunately reality of the life of shelter or street dogs. But it doesn’t have to be that way! That’s why Tails of Hope is taking a stand--and a step!—to ending the needless cycle of suffering. But we can’t do it without YOU!
Will you join our team in this fight to END the homeless pet problem once and for all?
Will you STAND UP and WALK with us for those who can’t speak for themselves?
Tails of Hope…a different kind of rescue
