I have been involved in rescuing pugs for over 15 years, the last 11 with Pug Rescue Austin. Sadly I will not have Darby by my side this year as she passed over the Rainbow bridge on August 15th. I am one of the original founders of Pug Rescue Austin and I am their medical director. We rescue abused, abandoned, injured and neglected pugs from all over central Texas. We currently save about 150 pugs and pug mixes every year and their medical bills average around $150,000 each year. In the last 11 years we have rescued OVER 1500 pugs. Pug Rescue Austin never refuses any pug regardless of their age or medical issues. They even accept hospice cases that many rescues will not. STRUT YOUR MUTT is Pug Rescue Austin's biggest fundraiser of the year and is key to continuing their work to make sure no pug is left behind. For the next 10 weeks I will be raising money to support all the Central Texas pugs that need our help. I have set a lofty goal of $10,000 for the next 10 weeks.
PLEASE, PLEASE, If I have EVER been there for you in your time of need, transported your pug, delivered your pug's food or medication, talked you through a difficult situation, helped you solve a problem, met you at the Emergency Animal Hospital, answered your call early in the morning, in the middle of the night, on the weekends or during personal family time then PLEASE, PLEASE consider donating and help me ensure we can continue saving the pugs I love so much!
Please help us reach our goal! Pug Rescue Austin is a 501c3 non profit. They are completely volunteer based and over 97% of Pug Rescue Austin's funds go directly to pay medical bills. Your donation is tax-deductible and the great thing is Pug Rescue Austin gets to keep all the donations.
