My favorite place to be on Saturday mornings is at the Shadow Cats sanctuary helping care for my furry friends. I have been a volunteer for Shadow Cats for over 5 years and I couldn't imagine spending my time anywhere else. This organization and all the special needs cats they support mean the world to me.
Shadow Cats is a 501c3 non-profit in Round Rock, Texas who cares for over 80 special needs cats such as those with feline leukemia or other conditions which put them at risk of euthanasia at animal shelters. Shadow Cats has been serving Central Texas for over a decade and we are dedicated to the welfare of feral, homeless, ill and injured cats and humanely reducing the number of free roaming cats in our communities. To date, we have sterilized nearly 10,000 cats through our TNR (trap-neuter-release) efforts, our One Life Fund has dispersed over $90,000 to other rescues in need across the country, and more than 350 ill, injured and behaviorally challenged cats have lived out their lives safely at our Sanctuary.
Please join me in supporting this amazing cause and help save the lives of special needs kitties.
