I’m walking to save the lives of homeless pets!
This year, I am strutting in honor of Diego. Diego came to CAWS in April of 2015. He was found as a stray, he had been wondering for about 2 weeks before he was caught and taken to a local shelter. After his stray hold was up Paul and I took him in.
He was little, had only a couple teeth, we still have no idea how old he is. He settled in well and we put him up for adoption after getting him neutered.
He was adopted twice, the first time by a couple who thought he was to needy and then a second time by a cute family. I was so excited for him!
About a year after getting adopted he turned up at a local shelter having been picked up as a stray. The shelter was hesitant to give him back to CAWS as they deemed him to aggressive. That was not acceptable, of course. Once a CAWS dog, always a CAWS dog. We fought tooth and nail and got Diego released to us. He's been with Paul and I ever since.
Diego is not an easy dog, he's the best snuggler in the world but can be very protective and aggressive if he thinks he's being provoked. Thank goodness he only has 2 teeth!!
I love CAWS. They take care of every dog for life, no matter what. We take back every animal if needed. Diego would not have made it out of that shelter alive had it not been for CAWS.
Please support me by making a donation to my page. Your gift helps homeless pets and will support CAWS.
This cause means so much to me and I am grateful for your help. Every day, more than 950 dogs and cats are killed in America's shelters, simply because they don't have safe places to call home. Each one is a loving pet just like yours and mine.
Together, we can Save Them All and reduce that number to zero. Thank you for your kind support.
